Today’s reading is Psalm 83-86.
“In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.”
Days of trouble come for God’s saints. Certainly, there are many, many great days in the Lord, and eternity will be wonderful beyond measure. However, there are bad days. Don’t be surprised by them. When they come, don’t let Satan convince you to use them as an excuse to turn from God. Rather, let them draw you to Him. Call on Him because all salvation comes from Him and from Him alone. He will answer. When the days of trouble come, what will you do with them?
Monday’s reading is Psalms 87-89.
A Word for Our Kids
Hey kids, did you catch Psalm 84:1? “How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!” When you read that, you probably thought of heaven. Certainly, heaven is a dwelling of God. However, Korah was not actually talking about heaven itself but about the house of the Lord, the Temple of God. Do you know what is the Temple of God under the New Covenant? Christ’s Church. Not the building where your congregation meets, but the congregation itself. When we are Christians, part of Christ’s church, we are the dwelling place of God and we are lovely. How amazing is that?! Nothing is greater than being God’s dwelling place and being part of Christ’s church, stick with it all your life.
