Today’s reading is Psalms 66-68.

“Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation” (Psalm 68:19). That is so hard for me to remember. I am not my salvation. God is. You are not your salvation. God is. This is not, of course, permission to just follow whatever passion our flesh desire and then wait for God to save us. It is rather the reminder that fighting on the Lord’s side is worth it. He wins, and on His side, we win. Not because we are the power of our salvation, but because God is. Whose side are you on?

Tomorrow’s reading is Psalms 69-72.

A Word for Our Kids

Hey kids, Jesus often talks about having the faith of a child. I envy you. Being still a child, you naturally have this faith that knows God is a great Father who wins. As you grow, hang on to that as best you can. The enemy is trying to convince you that your faith is not simply childlike, but childish. He wants to encourage you to “grow up” and abandon that faith. Don’t do it. Maturity doesn’t mean abandoning the faith you had as a child, it means hanging on to it and growing in it. God is our salvation, you know it. Keep knowing it.
