Today’s reading is Philippians 1-2.
How did Paul do it? How was he able to look on the bright side, see the silver lining, and spot the rainbow in the clouds that were surrounding him? That is the joy of being in Christ and having God on your side. Being with God doesn’t mean every day is sunshine and daisies. Many times it is raining. But the Christian knows the sun is behind those clouds and will be able to redeem that rain with a rainbow. As God promised Noah He wouldn’t destroy the earth by flood ever again and planted a rainbow in the sky as a reminder of His promise, God has promised to save, preserve, and deliver His children. Rely on God; He is still behind whatever clouds you are facing and is still walking you through the storms to your eternal home with Him. That will be worth it all. Praise the Lord!
Tomorrow’s reading is Philippians 3-4
A Word for Our Kids
Hey kids, did you see where Paul said we are supposed to do all things without grumbling or complaining? Write that on a piece of paper and tape it wherever you will see it every day. Read it 5 times every morning, afternoon, and evening. Don’t just submit to your parents and finally get around to doing what they’ve asked after you’ve spent all day complaining and griping about it. Love and obey your parents without grumbling. Don’t just do it because you love them, do it because you love God.
