Today’s reading is Joshua 9-10.
“And Joshua captured all these kings and their land at one time, because the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel.”
Joshua was on God’s side, so God was on Israel’s side. Do you want victory? Do you want conquest over temptation and sin? Do you want freedom from guilt and shame? There is only one way. Fight on God’s side. When you fight for Him, He will fight for you. And victory is then certain. Whose side are you on today?
Monday’s reading is Joshua 11-12.
A Word for Our Kids
Hey kids, if there is anything we learn from the Gibeonite deception it is that we always need to get back to God. Had Joshua checked with God, he could have avoided this unfortunate scenario. He didn’t. He just trusted the words of other men. Today, we can make the same mistake when we just trust what a particular preacher, website, or book says instead of going back to God’s Word ourselves. It is good you are learning to be in the word every day. Keep that up and let God’s Word guide you always.
