Today’s reading is John 3-4.
God is not looking for people to worship Him merely in word and in action, but in spirit and in truth. Certainly, words and actions matter in our worship. But there is more to worship than saying and doing the right things. Sadly, we can say and do the right things but not worship the right way. However, when we worship in spirit and truth, sincerely from the very seat of our heart and being, then we will say and do the right things. Let’s make sure to keep the worship horse and cart in the right order this week.
Tomorrow’s reading is John 5-6.
A Word for Our Kids
Hey kids, you might as well learn it now. Everyone else already knows it. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” You’ll see that verse stickered to bumpers, signed at sporting events, and even scrawled on bathroom walls. Don’t let it become just scenery in the background of your life as too many today allow it to be. It is a profound statement of God’s love for you. Learn it now and let it lead you throughout your whole life.
