Today’s reading is Leviticus 27 and Hebrews 1.

For generations, God sent prophets. Starting with Moses, through Samuel, Nathan, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Malachi. But then came someone amazing, a Prophet, but more. A Priest, a King, a Savior, a Sacrifice, a Redeemer. And though He was in flesh, He was and is the exact imprint of the nature of God. And though He came in flesh, He upholds the universe by the the power of His Word. Certainly, we under the New Covenant have Scripture, but even more than that, we have the Son, Jesus Christ. God has made Him firstborn, let us put Him first, let us put Him in the beginning of our lives.

Tomorrow’s reading is Hebrews 2-3.

A Word for Our Kids

Hey kids, don’t let anyone ever tell you Jesus was just a good man, just a special man, just a prophet, or even just an angel. He was and is so much more. God never said to even angels, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you.” He never said to even angels, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” He said to the Son, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” He said to the Son, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.” Jesus Christ is the Son. He is God. He is King. Follow Him like that as you grow up.
