Today’s reading is Matthew 21-22.
Have you ever heard anyone ask, “How much of what I make belongs to God?” Jesus’s words to those who asked about taxes answers this question. How did they know what belonged to Caesar? It bore the image of Caesar. How then will we know what belongs to God? It will bear the image of God. Do you remember what bears the image of God? “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness'” (Genesis 1:26). What belongs to God? We do. Let’s live like we belong to God today.
Tomorrow’s reading is Matthew 23-24.
A Word for Our Kids
Hey kids, did you read the Sadducees crazy question about the woman married to seven brothers? That question certainly gets kind of confusing. But I hope you also noticed Jesus’s answer. The problem with the Sadducees is that they didn’t know the Scriptures. There are bad questions and good questions. There are questions we may never know the answers to. However, if we need to know something, God has put it in the Scriptures. Start getting to know them and start following them now, and I promise, you will be blessed and benefited your whole life and all eternity.
