Today’s reading is Matthew 1-2.
Matthew begins with the fulfilled prophecy: “‘Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel’ (which means, God with us).” And it ends with Jesus’s promise that He will certainly fulfill: “Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Wow! What a powerful Savior we have. He is with us, let us put Him in the beginning of all we are and do.
Tomorrow’s reading is Matthew 3-4.
A Word for Our Kids
Hey kids, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, isn’t it amazing that Jesus came into the world as a child just like you. Because He is God and Creator, He understands what it is like to be us. However, He came into the world so you could be completely convinced that He knows what it is like to go through what you go through. Trust Him, He knows. He will help. Simply turn to Him in your times of need. Hang on to Him no matter what.
